You may have been upset when Snapchat nixed its “Best Friends” feature, but fear not my fellow Snappers! The new update, which rolled out earlier this week, categorizes your friends via emoji.

According to the Snapchat blog, the six emoji chosen “break down your whole squad,” representing the users you snap with the most. These emoji will be private so only you can see them unlike the previously public “Best Friends” feature, meaning stalking your ex just got a little harder. The messaging app used Beyonce as a visual example:


Other features in the update include a low light camera mode used to improve darker shots, and the “Needs Love” section under “Recents,” encouraging users to snap forgotten friends.
